Mental Health Commission of Canada releases comprehensive report on Canadians’ mental health
Jan 23, 2015
The first phase of the comprehensive report highlights the current mental health state of Canadians and indicates where improvements in mental health care are needed. According to the report, some areas that have raised concerns and need to be addressed are:
Intentional self-harm among college students
School-based mental health promotion
Stress associated with family caregiving
Stress at work
Suicide rates in the general population
CMHA has been and continues to be intimately involved in contributing to several efforts aimed at creating more comprehensive and inclusive mental health and mental illness indicators.
The full report will be released later this spring.
