Join CMHA in Deconstructing Normal at its sixth annual Mental Health For All conference
Oct 19, 2021
Toronto (ONTARIO) Oct. 19, 2021 – The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) will host its sixth annual Mental Health for All Conference (MH4A 2021) LIVE on a virtual platform on October 19 and 20, 2021, starting at 11:00 AM.
The theme for this national event is Deconstructing Normal. In the face of the pandemic, there is so much yearning to get “back to normal.” But what if normal is a problem?
This year’s conferencebrings together mental health leaders, thinkers, front-line workers and people who have lived experience of a mental illness to reflect on what normal is and what it does to people, institutions and systems.
With generous support from the Mental Health Commission of Canada and Edgewood Health Network, the conference features keynotes by Dr. Javeed Sukhera, Stacy-Ann Buchanan, Dr. Carol Hopkins and Vu Le, a youth panel, Indigenous perspectives on wellness and an array of sessions on peer support, substance use, national mental health standards and more.
