CMHA awards 53 CMHA volunteers and staff with King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of significant contributions to mental health and wellness in Canada 

Toronto, ON, (February 24, 2025)—The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has announced its chosen recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The medals were allotted to CMHA by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General. The Coronation Medal was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on May 6, 2023. CMHA was allotted 53 medals with which to recognize exemplary CMHA volunteers and staff in the field of Mental Health and Wellness.  

The nominations were recommended by the CMHA Nominations Committee who carefully reviewed each applicant. The Committee set the following key criteria for the nomination:

About the King Charles III Coronation Medal 

The Coronation Medal program was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. It recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community in Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to our country. The Governor General and partner organizations were invited to nominate and present medals to individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region of, or community in, Canada, or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.
