What makes Resilient Minds™ different from other mental health program for first responders?

-
We have completed other mental health courses. Should we bother with this training?
Resilient Minds™ will teach the science of stress, in relationship to the occupational challenges of your job and in your personal life. You will also learn tried and true strategies and tools to protect your mental health.
-
Beyond Indigenous first fighters, can other first responders take the training?
The Resilient Minds™ curriculum is focused on the unique needs of Fire Fighters. The curriculum of the Indigenous adaptation is focused on the unique needs of Indigenous First Responders and First Responders living and working in Indigenous communities. Understanding that rural, remote Indigenous communities may not have an extensive or dedicated fire department, the Indigenous adaptation of Resilient MindsTM is open to a wider variety of first responders, including emergency medical services and community nurses. There is also work underway to translate the Indigenous program into the French language for French speaking Indigenous communities.
