Toolkits
School Toolkit
Thank you for taking the time to participate in Mental Health Week and for making mental health a priority in your classroom and school. By creating spaces where students feel connected and supported, you are helping bring the spirit of Come Together, Canada to life.
As you know, many young people today feel lonely or disconnected. Social media, busy schedules, and pressure to succeed can make it harder to build real relationships. At the same time, connection is one of the strongest protective factors for mental health.
Schools are key settings where young people build connection. Everyday moments in the classroom — conversations, group activities, and small acts of kindness — can help students feel seen, included, and supported.
As an educator, you already help create these moments.
This toolkit offers simple ways to:
- encourage connection among students
- start thoughtful conversations
- build empathy and belonging in the classroom
The suggested activities and discussion guides can be adapted for different ages and classroom environments.
So from May 4 to 10, 2026, join us in celebrating Mental Health Week by bringing the theme Come Together, Canada to life in your classroom and school community, creating moments of connection that help strengthen mental health.
