Mental Health Commission of Canada releases comprehensive report on Canadians’ mental health

The first phase of the comprehensive report highlights the current mental health state of Canadians and indicates where improvements in mental health care are needed. According to the report, some areas that have raised concerns and need to be addressed are:
- Anxiety/mood disorders
- Intentional self-harm among college students
- School-based mental health promotion
- Stress associated with family caregiving
- Stress at work
- Suicide rates in the general population
CMHA has been and continues to be intimately involved in contributing to several efforts aimed at creating more comprehensive and inclusive mental health and mental illness indicators.
