The Canadian Mental Health Association has teamed up with the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 to kick off the Mental Health for All Conference and to welcome the Invictus Games to Toronto.
It seemed natural for the Canadian Mental Health Association to establish a partnership with the Invictus Games – especially given CMHA’s 100-year history. CMHA was founded in 1918 to help Canadian soldiers experiencing PTSD. Since then, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has become the most established, most extensive community mental health organization in Canada.
Founded by Prince Harry, the Invictus Games are the only international sporting event for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery among those who have suffered life-changing injuries, both visible and invisible, as a result of their service. This year, the Games are being held in Toronto, Canada from September 23 to 30.
