Jeanette MacAulay has represented PEI Division on CMHA’s National Board since 2010. She is currently the Secretary to the Board. For 35 years, Jeanette has worked in public service with the PEI Government and the post-secondary system and has served 12 years as a Deputy Minister in Health, Social Services and Intergovernmental Affairs. She has also worked at Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island in the fields of development and government relations. Over the course of her career, Jeanette has facilitated strategic change management for a number of organizations and is a strong proponent of a healthy and engaged work force.
As a parent of three children who has experienced the impact depression can have on families, Jeanette understands the immense pressure mental health problems have on children and their parents. She supports the leadership role CMHA can play in the early recognition of mental health problems in children and youth and the development of healthy coping skills early in life.
Jeanette also recognizes that by strengthening CMHA’s voice and impact across the country and by working with provincial governments and employers, the mental health of all Canadians will be better supported and enhanced.
